Things to do

We’d love you to come to Sanna without any plans, just to spend time here and see what each day brings, but hopefully this will give you some ideas about what to expect from Great Britain’s most westerly peninsula.

Beaches & Bays

The beaches in Sanna Bay are wonderful and being right on your doorstep you’ll have the chance to explore them to the full, especially those early morning or late evening moments, when the light is perfect or the chance of a bracing dip irresistible.

Walks & Wildlife

Red deer, golden eagles and whitetailed eagles all inhabit or visit Sanna and can often be spotted without leaving the Sanna Hut. However, nothing quite matches the experience of coming across these magnificent creatures whilst out walking in the empty hills that surround the bay. On & In The Water

Whether it’s paddling or fishing, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the coast, burns and lochans of the area. On those still, warmer days the bays of Sanna provide a perfect place for water sports in general and when the mackerel are in season, nothing beats catching your supper off the rocks moments from your front door!

Shops & Resturaunts

Kilchoan has a great local shop and post office, the Ferry Stores, and at the other end of the village the Community Centre houses West Coast Crafts and the Puffin Café, which has wonderful coffee and home baking.
